The Story of Essence
Hand-rolled in southern India using certified natural essential oils and resins. The sticks are made of bamboo and the incense contains no charcoal, resulting in a mild and pleasant scent. Their traditional crafting creates employment for local marginalized women. Packaged in handmade paper, free from plastic.

Why we developed this product
The world is full of synthetic fragrances all around us, it's still uncertain how these affect us, but some studies suggest that exposure to these fragrances can be linked to various health problems, including respiratory issues, headaches, and skin irritation*. On the contrary, the human body has been exposed to natural incense from burning wood, plants, and herbs for millions of years before reaching the modern age. In that sense natural incense is something our bodies are accustomed to. Many incense sticks unfortunately contain synthetic ingredients, without mentioning it. We developed our incense sticks to provide truly natural incense created using certified natural essential oils and other ingredients. These oils and herbs have been proven to provide various aromatic wellness effects such as calming and uplifting**. We want our incense to be for everyday relaxation and mindfulness, creating space for self-care.
